In commemoration of its ancestral ties, Dunedin has chosen Stirling, Scotland and Summerside Prince Edward Island as its sister cities. Just off the coast of Dunedin is Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island. Honeymoon Island State Park is less than a 5 minute ride from the mainland and offers swimming, boating, fishing, picnics and nature exploration. Caladesi Island State Park , accessible to the public by ferry from Honeymoon Island, has consistently been named one of Florida's top ten beaches. Dunedin is easy to get to from all points in the Tampa Bay area.
