Enjoying the natural wooded and subtropical setting with close to four miles of pictureques waterfront, Dunedin sits on central Florida's west coast, in the heart of Pinellas County's Suncoast. Downtown Dunedin is located along the waterfront and features many great shops, restaurants, a marina and fishing pier. Outdoor festivals are held regularly and there is always something going on in the downtown area. The oldest continuous garden club on Florida's west coast is the Dunedin Garden Club. In commemoration of its ancestral ties, Dunedin has chosen Stirling, Scotland and Summerside Prince Edward Island as its sister cities. Just off the coast of Dunedin is Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island. Honeymoon Island State Park is less than a 5 minute ride from the mainland and offers swimming, boating, fishing, picnics and nature exploration. Caladesi Island State Park , accessible to the public by ferry from Honeymoon Island, has consistently been named one of Florida's top ten beaches. Dunedin is easy to get to from all points in the Tampa Bay area.
